Rejecting the ‘Single Story’

A TED video of Nigerian-American writer Chimamanda Adichie speaking about the need for diverse writers and writing. She puts it so eloquently the very same reason why I wanted to start this blog.

…When we reject the single story, when we realize that there’s never a single story about any place, we regain a kind of paradise.

On another note, Adichie’s Half of a Yellow Sun is currently on my summer list to read, thanks to BookDragon’s Terry Hong for the recommendation.
